Finding Berlin’s longest street is not hard at all: just head for the borough of Treptow-Köpenick. The 12-kilometre long Adlergestell (a Gestell is a road carved through a forest by felling trees) connects the locality Niederschöneweide with one of Berlin’s prettiest summer locations, Schmökwitz.

Adlergestell running along the Dahme, one of Berlin’s six rivers, at the section known as Langer See. Schmökwitz is in hidden in the bottom right corner. Aerial view of Berlin in 1928 via histomapberlin.de.
