On this day in 1983 in Berlin the traditional Kreuzberg bar and restaurant “Kaiserstein” was finally freed of its brown disease.
A mass demonstration organised by Kreuzberg’s Social-Democrats, future Greens and the Socialist Unity Party of West Berlin (SEW) was held in front of a venue that had served as a meeting hub for Nazis and their kin in the midst of the democratic post-war Berlin.
