On this day in 1896 a temporary railway station built especially for Berliner Gewerbeausstellung - Berlin Industrial Exposition - held between May 1 and October 15, 1896 in today's Treptower Park, opened in Berlin-Treptow. The halt was built along the already existing railway line known as Görlitzer Eisenbahn - Berlin-Görlitz line, whose main Berlin stop was the demolished terminal station in today‘s - you guessed it! - Görlitzer Park.
