On April 14, 1891 Berlin’s Park Commission, body in charge of municipal parks, applied to the City Council (Berliner Magistrat) for a permit to move the ladies’ public toilet located in Köllnischer Park - on whose edge Berlin’s mock-Gothic Stadtmuseum stands today - to Humboldthain, a spreading park in Wedding (der Wedding became Berlin’s borough in 1920).

Köllnischer Park around 1890: before the Stadtmuseum was built but with Public Baths. The site was also home to one of the very first public playgrounds in Berlin.
