On this day in 1990 a quiet woman, wife and mother of a five-year-old boy, one Ingrid Becker, was arrested in Rosenbecker Straße 3 in Berlin-Marzahn. What must have come as shock to their neighbours was the information that followed the arrest: Ingrid Becker was supposed to be a terrorist! And a West-German one, to boot.
In fact, that wasn’t even her real name…
