GERMAN WORD OF THE DAY: HACKENPORSCHE

Hackenporsche (literally “heel Porsche”) - a pull-along shopping trolley aka granny troley popular in Germany, especially among elderly people but not exclusively (we have one, too).

Anyone who ever had to shop for groceries, veg and fruit and a couple of litres of liquids with no car and no cargo-bike to transport the lot home, will tell you: a Hackenporsche rules:-)

And anyone who has will also tell you, that name is fully deserved, too.
